The Lady Eagles were back on the court for the first time in the early 2025 year as they faced off against the University of Saint Mary Spires. Heading in to the match-up 5-8 on the season, the Lady Eagles looked to start off the year on the right foot.

Winning the tip to start, the Lady Eagles began the game with a quick pace and pushed the Lady Spires to multiple turn overs in order to take the 18-13 lead in the first quarter.
Keeping the same energy, the Lady Eagles ended the first half with a 32-25 lead. Coming out of the locker room, the Lady Eagles slowed; giving way to a strong third quarter from the Lady Spires and a lead shift late in the third.

Trailing with 10 minutes left, the Lady Eagles rallied together to have their best quarter yet. Scoring 29 in the fourth, the Lady Eagles held the Lady Spires to 12 and took control of the game, earning their 3^rd conference win on the season.

Rashaan Smith was a force to be reckoned with during her 27 minutes of play, ending her night with 27 points in the paint and 7 rebounds. Following Smith, Jaelin Glass put up 10 points for the Lady Eagles in her 14 minutes of play.

The Lady Eagles hit the road this upcoming Saturday, January 11^th for a KCAC match-up with the Friends University in Wichita, Kansas for a 3:00PM tip-off.
