OKWU women's volleyball team extended their winning streak with a decisive 3-0 victory over Southwestern College in Windfield, Kansas. The Lady Eagles, now 14-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play, controlled the match from start to finish, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-14, and 25-12.
The offensive firepower was led by Evelyn Rohrberg, who posted 15 kills on 26 attempts with a stellar .500 hitting percentage. Rohrberg's consistency and power at the net were key in keeping Southwestern on their heels. Setting the stage for Rohrberg and the rest of the attack was Sydney Collins, who dished out a match-high 30 assists, orchestrating the offense.
Maia Rubio added 9 kills and 7 digs, while Tijana Stojilijkovic contributed 6 kills and 3 solo blocks, totaling 9.5 points. On defense, Maria Luisa Caycedo led the back row with 21 digs, helping to shut down Southwestern's offensive efforts.
With another dominant performance, OKWU continues to solidify their position as a conference powerhouse. Their next matchup will be another opportunity to showcase their depth and talent as the face off against Tabor College at 2:00 PM on October 4th at home. GO EAGLES!
