The #7 Women's Soccer team hosted the University of Saint Mary (KS) Lady Spires on October 25^th as they hit the later half of conference play. Coming into the match-up undefeated, the Lady Eagles showed just why they are on top of the leaderboard in KCAC play.

Starting the scoring parade early, the Lady Eagles scored in just the fifth minute of play. A strong pass upfield from Wendy Jimenez, resulting in the first goal form Isabelle Simoneau. Simoneau was a force on the front line for the Lady Eagles, scoring shortly after her first with a long goal outside the box, assisted by Kylie Rief. Wendy Jimenez came in clutch for the Lady Eagles in the remainder of the first, scoring two goals to make it a 4-0 game in favor of the Lady Eagles.

Entering the second half with a comfortable lead, the Lady Eagles were in control and maintained possession of the ball for a remainder of the game. A consistent offense contributed to 3 more goals scored with 16 minutes remaining in the game. The Lady Eagles brought in multiple substitutes throughout the remaining 20 minutes of play, keeping a strong defensive line and forcing the ball upfield for multiple opportunities. Taking advantage of a short pass, the Lady Spires fought back and scored a goal with 5 minutes of play left. Ending the game 7-1 in favor of the Lady Eagles.

The Lady's Eagles defensive line was valiant tonight, shutting down multiple drives and securing the ball with every pass.

The Lady Eagles are on the road this upcoming Saturday, looking to face off against Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas.
