Men’s Soccer Earned 2-1 Win Over Kansas Wesleyan

Box Score

Salina, Kan. —

OKWU men's soccer remained unbeaten with a gritty 2-1 road win over Kansas Wesleyan. The Eagles, with an 11-0-3 overall record and 9-0-1 conference record, leaned on the brilliance of Biel Campo, who netted both goals to secure the comeback victory.

After allowing a goal in the 19th minute, OKWU responded with poise and pressure. Campo tied the game in the 40th minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from Vitor Meirinho. Campo struck again in the 76th minute, this time off a setup from Ryunsokue Masuzuka, giving the Eagles a lead they wouldn't give up.

Campo led all players with four shots, two on goal, and both finishes with a clinical display of attacking efficiency. OKWU outshot the Coyotes 10-4 and earned 5 second-half corner kicks, keeping the pressure on.

Goalkeeper Marko Rodic anchored the defense with two saves, while the backline held KWU to just one shot in the second half.

With the win, OKWU tightens its grip on the top spot in the KCAC and continues its march toward postseason play. Campo's performance, paired with a resilient team effort, proved once again why the Eagles are one of the most formidable squads in the NAIA.
