Men’s Soccer Dominates Tabor with 7-1 Victory on the Road

OKWU men's soccer team continued their impressive run with a commanding 7-1 win over Tabor College in Hillsboro. The Eagles, now 7-0-3 overall and 5-0-1 in KCAC play, showcased their offensive firepower and defensive discipline in a match that left no doubt about their national ranking.  

The game started with early momentum from OKWU, as Biel Campo opened the scoring in the first few minutes of the match. Campo was unstoppable throughout the match, finishing with 4 goals on 5 shots on goal, and adding an assist to his stat line.  

Julian Tovar also had a standout game, netting 2 goals and contributing to the relentless pressure on Tabor's defense. His second goal came off a crisp assist from Campo, highlighting the chemistry between the two forwards. Tylor Guerrero added a goal of his own in the 52nd minute, rounding out the scoring from the starting lineup. 

Defensively, goalkeeper Stefan Schenk played the full 90 minutes and recorded 2 saves, allowing just one goal. The Eagles' back line held Tabor to only 5 total shots, with just 3 on target, while OKWU fired off 19 shots, 11 of which were on goal. 

OKWU led 2-1 at halftime but exploded in the second half with 5 unanswered goals, overwhelming Tabor and sealing the win. The Eagles also dominated in corner kicks 6 to 2 and maintained control.  

The Eagles hit the road for their next match against Friends University on October 8th at 7:30 PM. With momentum building and their national ranking climbing, OKWU looks poised to continue their unbeaten streak and make a statement in the KCAC.
