Women's Volleyball Sweeps Tabor at Home

Bartlesville, OK –

The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles continued their hot streak on Saturday, sweeping Tabor College (25-20, 25-15, 25-16) to improve to 14-1 overall and 3-0 in KCAC play.

The match was not only a statement of the Eagles' firepower but also of their depth. Senior Anneliese Schonauer earned her first start of the season, tallying four digs and bringing steady play to the back row. Off the bench, Amanda Schaffner added a kill, while Anuhea Aukai contributed a kill and teamed up for a block. Emma Stubbs also saw court time in the third set, adding valuable minutes at the net.

Defensively, Jordan Isbell chipped in five digs, helping to keep rallies alive for the Eagles. At the service line, Grace Bybee provided a spark with three aces, keeping Tabor's defense on its heels.

Meanwhile, OKWU's offensive leaders kept up their strong play. Evelyn Rohrberg powered down a match-high 18 kills while hitting .593, while Maria Andrea Santa Cruz Cossich was efficient with 8 kills at .467. Tijana Stojiljkovic added 7 kills, and setter Sydney Collins controlled the offense with 38 assists. On defense, libero Maria Luisa Caycedo led all players with 17 digs.

As a team, the Eagles recorded 44 kills on .283 hitting, while holding Tabor to just .111. The Bluejays were led by Liana McGonigle with 11 kills but couldn't match OKWU's balance across the lineup.

With the sweep, Oklahoma Wesleyan extends its win streak and continues to showcase a combination of star power and depth that makes them a force in KCAC play. The Lady Eagles return to action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Mueller Sports Center when they host Friends University.
