OKWU men's soccer extended their unbeaten streak in KCAC play with a 3–1 road victory over Friends University. The Eagles improved to 8-0-3 overall and 6-0-1 in conference, continuing their strong push toward postseason contention.
The Eagles struck first in the 6th minute when Biel Campo netted the opening goal off a setup from Alejandro Aleman Lopez. Campo returned the favor in the second half, assisting Lopez for a goal in the 57th minute to double the lead. Just four minutes later, Carson Papp added a third goal, assisted by Nemanja Vukovic, putting the match out of reach. Campo led the Eagles with four shots, two on goal, and contributed to two scores. Lopez and Papp each added goals, while Vukovic and Lopez tallied assists.
Friends managed to pull one back in the 73rd minute with a penalty kick, but Oklahoma Wesleyan's defense held firm the rest of the way. Goalkeeper Marko Rodic was solid in net, recording six saves on seven shots on goal.
The Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as they face-off against McPherson College on October 10th at 7:30 PM. Go Eagles!
