The Women's Basketball team traveled to Fort Worth, Texas this past weekend for the Texas Wesleyan University Classic. Coming in to a Saturday match-up with the Texarkana Eagles, the Lady Eagles come off of an exciting win in their previous match-up.
Starting off the first quarter with a head to head rally, the Lady Eagles were dead even with Texarkana entering the 2
nd quarter. Outscoring their opponent 14-11 in the second quarter, the Lady Eagles took a small lead and never looked back. Having their best quarter in the third, the Lady Eagles were able to extend their lead and head into the final 10 minutes with looks to close it out. Slowing in the 4
th, Texarkana looked to fight back until the Lady Eagles shut them down late in the game to secure the 52-49 win.
Khassidy Warr led the Lady Eagles offensively and defensively, earning her first double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds. 
Kamryn Phoenix had a standout performance as well, scoring 14 of the Lady Eagles 52 points.
The Lady Eagles are back on the road for their next game as they look to start conference play against Tabor College on November 15
th.
