Bartlesville, OK —
Oklahoma Wesleyan University women's volleyball capped off Senior Day in style on Saturday afternoon, sweeping York University 3–0 (25–14, 25–19, 25–14) inside Mueller Sports Center. The Lady Eagles improved to 21–2 overall and 10–1 in KCAC play.
Before first serve, OKWU honored its five seniors — Tijana Stojiljkovic, Sydney Collins, Kaytlin Sowards, Grace Bybee, and Valeria Perez — for their impact on the program both on and off the court. The group was celebrated by teammates, coaches, and fans for their leadership and dedication throughout their time as Eagles.
Once play began, the Lady Eagles showed why they remain one of the top teams in the conference. Evelyn Rohrberg, Maia Rubio, and Maria Cossich led the offensive attack, each finishing with 12 kills. Cossich posted an impressive .647 hitting percentage, while Rohrberg hit .360 and Rubio .320. Iva Mrkaic added six kills on a .333 clip, and Emma Stubbs provided a spark off the bench with a perfect 4-for-4 hitting performance.
Setter Sydney Collins continued her standout senior season, tallying 39 assists and six digs to pace the offense. Valeria Perez chipped in with two service aces, while Tijana Stojiljkovic anchored the front line with three blocks. As a team, OKWU hit .400 and recorded 10 total blocks, holding York to a .100 hitting percentage.
The Lady Eagles return to action on November 5 when they travel to Springfield, Missouri, to take on Evangel University at 7 p.m.
