OKWU women's basketball had a tough KCAC opener against Tabor, falling 78–46. The Eagles struggled early, scoring just 14 points in the first half compared to Tabor's 47. The second quarter proved decisive as Tabor outscored OKWU 29–4, creating a gap that was hard to overcome.
Despite the tough start, OKWU showed resilience in the second half, putting up 32 points and matching Tabor's pace in the final two quarters. However, the early deficit was too much to recover from.
The Lady Eagles are now 2-1 overall and 0-1 in conference. Despite this hard loss, the Lady Eagles season has just begun. The two games prior the Lady Eagles have shown some talent and good signs of a positive season to come. Now they will turn their attention to Friends Univeristy as they face-off in Wichita, KS on November 19th, at 6:00 PM. Go Eagles!
