YORK, NE —
OKWU men's soccer Improved their record to 13-0-1 in conference with a 3-1 road victory over York University. This win closes out the regular season for men's soccer and now sets their eyes on the conference and national tournament. The Eagles having such a dominant 2025 season, it can be safe to assume they are nothing short of ready and confident.
In this matchup, Biel Campo led the charge with a two-goal performance, scoring in both halves to secure the win. Campo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing a well-worked play assisted by Julian Tovar and Ryunsokue Masuzuka. After halftime, Santiago Mejía Gomez doubled the lead in the 48th minute with a solo effort.
York however didn't back down and responded quickly with a goal just seconds after OKWU's second. However, Campo struck again in the 59th minute, this time assisted by Tylor Guerrero and Adrian Mejia, sealing the final score.
The Eagles dominated offense outshooting York 17-4 and defense held firm, with goalkeeper Marko Rodic making two saves.
The Eagles move on to the KCAC Conference Tournament where they host and will face off against Evangel University in game 1 on November 4th at 6:00 PM. Go Eagles!
