OKWU men's soccer team continued their undefeated season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Evangel University in the opening round of the KCAC Conference Tournament.
The Eagles showcased their offensive depth and defensive discipline throughout the match. After a flurry of early chances, it was Vitor Meirinho who broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from Adrian Mejia.
Mejia, who played a pivotal role in the midfield, added another assist in the second half, setting up Ryunsokue Masuzuka for the second goal in the 67th minute. Oklahoma Wesleyan's pressure never relented, and Mateja Bozic sealed the win with a late brace, scoring in the 83rd and 85th minutes with assists from Mihaujlo Katanic and Luka Djurovic respectively.
Defensively, the Eagles were impenetrable. Goalkeepers Marko Rodic and Stefan Schenk split time in net, combining for a clean sheet without needing a single save. Oklahoma Wesleyan outshot Evangel 23-3 and held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
With this win, Oklahoma Wesleyan advances to the next round of the KCAC tournament, continuing their pursuit of a conference title and a deep run in the NAIA national championship. The Eagles will face-off against York University in KCAC Semi-Finals held in Witchita, KS at the
