Women’s Soccer Beats Ottawa 4–0 in the KCAC Quarterfinals

Bartlesville, OK —
The #1-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan University women's soccer team continued its dominant postseason run Wednesday night with a 4–0 shutout win over #8-seeded Ottawa University in the KCAC quarterfinals. The victory marked OKWU's second postseason win as the Lady Eagles advance to the KCAC semifinals in Wichita, Kansas, on Friday.

Senior midfielder Linn Joelsson led the way with an outstanding hat trick, scoring three goals in the 31st, 55th, and 66th minutes. Her first two came unassisted, while her third was set up by Kylie Reif. Marilia Constantinou added the Eagles' third goal of the night in the 60th minute off an assist from Tessa Edwards

The Lady Eagles dominated all aspects of the match, outshooting Ottawa 35–0 and controlling possession from start to finish. Goalkeeper Alessandra Martinez recorded a quiet shutout, as the Eagles' defense held the Braves without a single shot attempt.

With the win, Oklahoma Wesleyan improves to 18–1–1 overall (13–0 KCAC) and will move on to face their next opponent in the KCAC semifinals on Friday in Wichita.
