The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles hosted Bethel College on Saturday afternoon at the Mueller Sports Center. The Lady Eagles battled early but eventually fell to the Threshers, 73–53. The loss moves OKWU to 5–6 on the season.
Oklahoma Wesleyan came out strong in the opening quarter, holding a narrow 16–15 lead. The Lady Eagles continued to compete through the first half, but Bethel's efficiency inside and on the glass allowed the Threshers to take a 34–30 advantage into halftime.
Bethel gained momentum in the third quarter, extending its lead behind strong interior scoring and second-chance opportunities. The visitors shot over 55 percent from the field for the game and controlled the paint, outscoring OKWU 46–28 inside. Oklahoma Wesleyan struggled to find a rhythm offensively in the second half, shooting just 25 percent in the fourth quarter as Bethel pulled away.
Gracie Alexander and Khassidy Warr led the Lady Eagles with 12 points apiece, with Warr also adding six rebounds. Kamryn Phoenix scored six points off the bench, while Sophia Regalado contributed seven points in limited minutes. Oklahoma Wesleyan finished with 12 assists and forced 11 Bethel turnovers, though the Threshers converted those opportunities into 21 points.
The Lady Eagles return to action on Tuesday, December 16, when they host Oklahoma Panhandle State at 2 p.m. in Bartlesville.
