Bartlesville, OK—

OKWU men's basketball put together a complete performance in an 88-70 win over Sterling at home, improving to 9-1 overall and 5-0 in KCAC play.

OKWU set the tone early with a 48–37 halftime lead, shooting 60% from the field and 40% from three. The Eagles never looked back, finishing at 55% overall and 38.5% from three while holding Sterling to 47.1% shooting.

Temaje Izuagbe led the way with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals, while Humberto Kentish Jr. added 16 points and Nick Bene chipped in 13. OKWU's depth showed with 31 points coming off the bench, and the Eagles dominated the interior with 40 points in the paint and 16 second-chance points. A disruptive defense turned Sterling's 16 turnovers into 24 points, helping OKWU stretch the margin to a game-high 18 in the second half.

Overall, the Eagles were in control from start to finish. They secured this win with help from all positions on the court as well as the great performances coming off the bench.

The Eagles are having a stellar start in conference play and their overall season. Currently the team is coming together early and showing flashes of what is to be an even better team moving further into the season. Their next opponent will be Southwestern College, and they will go head-to-head at home on December 10th, at 8:00 PM. Go Eagles!
