On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles faced a tough challenge against the York University Panthers, falling 68-64 in a close game.  

The Lady Eagles had a slow start, shooting 28.57% in the first quarter, improved in the second with 43.75%. Despite the improvement, the Lady Eagles struggled to find a rhythm offensively, trailing 36-31 at halftime, before making a late push in the fourth quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, the Eagles looked to make a strong comeback, cutting the Panthers 13-point lead to just five points. Haley Meely led the charge, scoring 22 points and hitting a crucial three-pointer to narrow the gap. She went 6-21 from the field, including 3-9 from the 3-point line. Meely made 7 of her 9 free-throws, 5 being made in the 4th quarter.  

Zariah Tillman added 11 points shooting 5-11 with 2 rebounds, while Khassidy Warr scored 6 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Lady Eagles showed significant effort and determination throughout the game. 

Despite the late rally, the Lady Eagles could not secure the win. With this loss, the Lady Eagles' season record stands at 12-14 overall and 9-11 in conference. The Eagles' next game is scheduled for February 19th versus Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
