The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles capped off their regular season with an impressive 75-58 win over McPherson on February 22, 2025. Fueled by a well-rounded offense and strong defense, the Eagles secured their 13th win of the season on Senior Day.Â
OKWU took control early, outscoring McPherson in every quarter. They jumped to a 16-11 lead after the first period and continued their momentum in the second, shooting 53.3% to extend their advantage to 42-32 at halftime. Despite a competitive third quarter, OKWU remained in control and sealed the game by outscoring the Bulldogs 18-13 in the final period. The Eagles connected on nine three-pointers and dominated the boards with 36 total rebounds.Â
Defensively, the Eagles forced 17 McPherson turnovers, converting them into key scoring opportunities. They also displayed their depth, with 27 bench points. The seven seniors made the most of their final game on their home court, delivering several standout performances.Â
Haley Meely led the way for OKWU, finishing with 15 points, including three three-pointers, while also contributing five assists and three steals.
Zariah Tillman followed closely with 13 points, shooting an efficient 5-for-8 from the field, and added four steals on the defensive end.
Jaelin Glass made her presence known inside, scoring 11 points, and recording two blocks.
Shade Richardson dominated the boards with a game-high 11 rebounds, while also adding seven points to the Eagles' offensive attack.
Rashaan Smith provided a spark off the bench with nine points and eight rebounds, while fellow senior
