Box Score 2 The OKWU Baseball team hit the road for a week-long travel trip to Florida, to face off against New College of Florida and Ave Maria. Starting off the week with a 2 game series against New College of Florida, the Eagles looked to stay hot on the road.

In an exciting matchup between Oklahoma Wesleyan and New College of Florida, the Eagles put together a solid team effort to secure a 7-5 victory. A well-played game with timely hitting and a strong pitching performance enabled the Eagles to come out on top for their first win on the road.

Starting out on the mound for the Eagles,
Jacob Morgan ended his game throwing 2.1 innings.
Carson Frazier displayed a strong performance in his relief effort, who through a 5.2 inning shutout. Frazier allowed no hits and struck out six batters, holding down New College of Florida's offense, earning his first win of the season.
Tyler Benefiel also provided solid relief, throwing one inning of scoreless ball, no hits, and striking out one batter. The OKWU Eagles bullpen looks to be strong early on this season. Â

OKWU was led by Braydon Caldwell, who finished the game with 2 hits, 2 RBIs and two walks. Caldwell played a critical role in the team's offensive production, helping to drive in runs and keep the pressure on New College's pitchers. His performance at the plate included a double and a stolen base, showing his all-around ability to impact the game.
Ravaughn Morgan's plate appearances also contributed offensively showing off his ability to get on base and bring in an important run that was vital to the Eagles' attack.
Connor Hickey's hit a primetime moment triple that added to the offensive highlights and created even more of drive for the Eagles towards the end of the game. Â

In this second matchup against New College of Florida it was nothing more than an offensive showcase for the OKWU Eagles. The Eagles racked up 16 hits, with several key players stepping up in big moments, including
Ravaughn Morgan,
Jorge Aldrete,
Blake Tablazon, and
Connor Hickey.
Jorge Aldrete went 5-for-5, HR, and 3 RBIs.
Ravaughn Morgan goes 3-for-4, HR, 5 RBIs.

The Eagles didn't just shine offensively – the pitching staff was also stellar.
Colt Bartling,
Matthew Weidkamp, and
Carlos Lopez combined to give up just four hits while striking out five batters, showing excellent control throughout the game. Weidkamp was especially dominant, throwing 4.2 scoreless innings with just 1 hit and 1 walk allowed. Â
