The RV Men's Basketball team was here in Mueller Sports Center for a conference rivalry match-up against the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. Looking to remain in the top of the KCAC standings and a chance at a top-seed heading into the KCAC tournament, the Eagles hit the floor shooting, pushing the pace and forcing turnovers early.

Yashi McKenzie came to play in the first half, forcing 3 turnovers from the Mound builders and accumulating 3 steals in the first 10 minutes of play. Led by McKenzie's defense the Eagles were able to put together multiple opportunities to score and create quick drives into the paint. Ending the first half with a 37-23 lead, the Eagles just needed to keep the momentum on their side in order to secure the victory.

Scoring first in the half, the Eagles were up 44-30 with 14:35 left on the clock. Going on a scoring run, the Mound builders tightened the score 46-39 with 11 minutes on the clock. In need of momentum, Jade Lietzke turned up the energy with back to back layups and taking the game to a score of 61-49 with 5:30 left on the clock. A fast paced final 4 minutes led to back and forth possessions and a fight to the finish. Rising above, the Eagles took home their second win over the Southwestern College Mound builders with a final score of 75-67!

The Eagles were led by Dylan Phillip (14) and Isaak Stanek (16) offensively, as the team ended their night shooting 48.6%. Defensively, the Eagles ended their night with 9 steals and 23 defensive rebounds.

The Eagles are back in Mueller Sports Center this upcoming Saturday for a 3:00PM tip-off against the Sterling College Warriors.
