Oklahoma Wesleyan Falls Short in High-Scoring Battle Against Tabor
Despite a relentless offensive effort, Oklahoma Wesleyan lost 25-15 in slugfest against Tabor College. The Eagles came out swinging, with Braydon Caldwell leading the charge by driving in five runs, while Jorge Aldrete and Javier Marcial each collected three hits to fuel the offense. OKWU struck early, putting up 7 runs in the first inning, but Tabor's bats answered back. Pitching struggles plagued the Eagles as multiple arms tried to slow down Tabor's relentless attack. Despite flashes of resilience, Oklahoma Wesleyan couldn't contain Tabor, ultimately falling in a game that turned into an offensive marathon.
Oklahoma Wesleyan's talented staff has been a dominant force all season and will look to bounce back quickly. The Eagles' ability to produce runs at an elite level ensures that this loss is nothing more than a temporary setback. With one of the most dynamic lineups in the country and a pitching staff capable of shutting down any opponent, OKWU remains a serious contender for a deep postseason run. Expect the Eagles to come out firing in their next contest as they look to reassert their dominance in the conference.
Next up for Eagles they will face off against Park University for a non-conference 2 game series. We look forward to the Eagles putting on a clinic and bounce back from this loss. Game 1 will be on March 28th @ 2 PM with Game 2 following up on March 29th @ 2 PM. Go Eagles!
