With heavy hearts, we announce a Celebration of Life for Coach Thomas Poling, beloved Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Coach Poling had a way of seeing beauty in every moment—always responding with his signature word, "Beautiful." Whether on the court, in a conversation, or in the ordinary rhythms of life, he believed in the beauty around him—and reflected that belief in everyone he met.
A devoted follower of Christ, he lived his faith authentically, served with a servant's heart, and deeply loved OKWU and the Boston Celtics. He considered every player not just a teammate, but a cherished individual and "image-bearer."
 
In his honor, the family invites us to:

• Wear your sneakers—Coach Poling would honestly think that's beautiful.

The 2025 men's basketball season will be dedicated to his memory. We will carry forward his legacy—not only in our prayers and on our uniforms—but in how we choose to live: with compassion, faithfulness, and heart.
