Women's Soccer fell short against Missouri Valley 1-0 

Oklahoma Wesleyan's women's soccer team fell 1–0 to Missouri Valley in a tightly contested match on Saturday afternoon. Despite a strong defensive showing and several offensive chances, the Eagles were unable to overcome an early goal by Missouri Valley. 

Goalkeeper Leona Kraus anchored the back line with four saves, keeping the Eagles within striking distance throughout the match. Offensively, Laura Gieseler and Ana Chavez led the OKWU lady Eagles with two shots a piece.  

The Eagles matched Missouri Valley in saves and kept pressure on with seven total shots but couldn't find the equalizer.  

Oklahoma Wesleyan now stands at 1–1-0 on the season and looks ahead to their next match-up with renewed focus and determination. They will face off against MidAmerica Nazarene on September 3rd at home and we look forward to a bounce back performance. Go Eagles!
