Women's Soccer Soar Past MidAmerica Nazarene with Commanding Road Win
Oklahoma Wesleyan Women's Soccer delivered a dominant performance on the road shutting out MidAmerica Nazarene with a 2-0 victory!
The Lady Eagles wasted no time asserting control, netting both goals in the first half. Midfielder Laura Gieseler opened the scoring in the 27th minute with her first goal of the season, capitalizing on sustained offensive pressure. Shortly after, Ana Chavez doubled the lead off with an assist from Wendy Jimenez, marking her second goal of the season. OKWU outshot MidAmerica 9-5 and held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
OKWU's defense was impenetrable throughout the match, allowing zero shots on goal. Goalkeeper Alessandra Martinez earned a clean sheet without needing a single save, thanks to a disciplined backline led by Elise Lofnertz, Kristen Bruhns, and Kayla Herrera, who each played the full 90 minutes.
With momentum building, the Lady Eagles look ahead to their next matchup as they will face off against Lindsey Wilson College in Jackson Tennessee. Go Eagles!
