OKWU men's Soccer delivered a statement performance on September 20th, dismantling Sterling College 7–0 at OKWU Field. The Eagles, now 4-0-2 on the season and 2-0-0 in conference play, showcased their attacking depth and defensive discipline in a match that was never in doubt.
The scoring began midway through the first half with a goal from Alejandro Aleman Lop, setting the tone for a relentless offensive display. Adrian Mejia was electric throughout the match, earning 2 goals of his own and leading the team with five shots on goal. Djurovic was equally impactful, scoring 2 goals and assisting another. Carson Papp proved lethal, as Papp added a goal of his own and assisted Djurovic's. Julian Tovar capped off the scoring with a late goal, assisted by Vitor Meirinho.
In total, the Eagles fired off 37 shots, 24 of which were on target, compared to Sterling's six total shots and just one on goal. Oklahoma Wesleyan's goalkeepers, Stefan Schenk and Christian McCauley, combined for a clean sheet, with McCauley making the lone save required. The Eagles also led in corner kicks 9-6 and committed fewer fouls 4-6, maintaining control in all facets of the game.
