Women's basketball hosted the Ottawa University Lady Braves January 14
th as they looked to close out the first round of conference play here in Bartlesville. Coming into the game with a 6-10 record overall, the Lady Eagles looked to find spark heading into the remainder of conference play.
Starting off with strong defensive efforts, the Lady Eagles ended the first quarter all tied up, 13-13 with the Lady Braves. Coming out of the huddle slow, the Lady Braves went on a tear in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Eagles 26-10, and taking the lead at the half.
Trailing by 16 and their backs up against the wall, the Lady Eagles quickened their pace and scored 13 out of the locker room, holding the Lady Braves to 10 in the 3
rd. Cutting the lead minute by minute, the Lady Eagles showed their offensive depth in the 4
th, cutting the lead quickly to 55-49 with 37 seconds left. After valiant effort and grit, the Lady Eagles fell to the Lady Braves
Gracie Alexander and
Khassidy Warr were game changers for the Lady Eagles, scoring 25 of the Lady Eagles 50 points on the night.
The Lady Eagles take the road this upcoming Saturday, as they travel to York, Nebraska to face off against the York University Lady Panthers at 1:00PM.
