The Oklahoma Wesleyan University women's basketball team dropped a 64–53 game to Bethany College on Saturday afternoon, January 3, at Hahn Gymnasium. The loss moves the Lady Eagles to 6–8 overall and 1–7 in KCAC play at the midway point of the season.
Oklahoma Wesleyan was led offensively by Khamille Warr and Gracie Alexander, who scored 11 points apiece. Kamryn Phoenix added 10 points, while Ashlyn Baker contributed nine points and four rebounds. The Lady Eagles shot 34.4 percent from the field and finished 8-of-9 from the free-throw line, adding 28 total rebounds and 10 assists as a team. Oklahoma Wesleyan held a slight edge in ball security, committing 11 turnovers in the contest.
After falling behind early, Oklahoma Wesleyan responded with an 11–8 advantage in the second quarter and continued to compete through the second half. The Lady Eagles outscored Bethany 17–15 in the third period before the Swedes extended the margin in the final quarter. At the season's halfway mark, Oklahoma Wesleyan sits at 6–8 overall with a full slate of conference games still ahead.
