The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles traveled to Leavenworth, Kansas, on Wednesday evening for a conference matchup against the Saint Mary Spires. Oklahoma Wesleyan faced a challenging night on the road, falling 88–60. The loss moves OKWU to 6–9 overall and 1–8 in conference play.
Saint Mary set the tone early with consistent shooting, building a 23–13 lead after the opening quarter. The Lady Eagles responded in the second period, scoring 19 points to narrow the margin to 42–32 at halftime. The Spires pulled away coming out of the break, using defensive pressure to extend the gap in the third quarter, and maintained control in the final period by shooting over 60 percent in the fourth.
Khamille Warr and Taliyah Harris led Oklahoma Wesleyan with 12 points apiece. Harris also recorded five assists, while Jaclyn Lara added eight points and five rebounds off the bench. The Lady Eagles totaled 27 bench points and saw minutes from across the roster.
Oklahoma Wesleyan returns home for its next contest against Friends University Falcons at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, at Mueller Sports Center.
