The Oklahoma Wesleyan men's basketball team picked up another strong conference win Wednesday night, defeating Ottawa 80–49 on the road.
The Eagles set the tone early and never looked back, building a 42–27 lead by halftime behind efficient offense and strong defensive pressure. Oklahoma Wesleyan continued to control the game in the second half, outscoring Ottawa 38–22 to secure the 31-point victory.
OKWU shot 47 percent from the field and controlled the glass with a 49–29 rebounding advantage. The Eagles also forced 19 Ottawa turnovers and finished with 16 assists as a team in a balanced offensive effort.
Nathaniel Law led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points off the bench, while Yashi McKenzie added nine points and eight rebounds. Temaje Izuagbe contributed eight points and seven boards, and Blake Hamblin chipped in seven points in the win.
With the victory, Oklahoma Wesleyan improves to 22–3 overall and 17–2 in conference play. The Eagles return home Saturday as they host York University at Mueller Sports Center.
