It was a back-and-forth battle for the Lady Eagles on Wednesday night as they faced the Ottawa Lady Braves in conference play. Oklahoma Wesleyan showed outstanding shooting throughout the game, finishing at 56.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.
The Eagles stayed aggressive and never gave up, matching Ottawa possession for possession in a tightly contested matchup. After trailing early, OKWU found its rhythm in the second quarter and continued to fight through the second half as both teams traded momentum down the stretch.
In the final moments, the Lady Eagles made the plays they needed to secure the win. With just seconds remaining, OKWU forced a jump ball that led to an Eagle steal and a trip to the free-throw line. Oklahoma Wesleyan knocked down a free throw to extend the lead before coming up with one final defensive stop to seal the 75–71 conference victory.
Kamryn Phoenix led the Lady Eagles with 23 points and five assists, pacing the offense with confident shooting and strong playmaking. Khamille Warr added 14 points and six rebounds, while Sophia Regalado contributed 12 points in the win. Khassidy Warr also made an impact across the board with seven points, six rebounds, and four assists.
The win brings Oklahoma Wesleyan to 10–15 overall and 5–14 in conference play and provides momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
The Lady Eagles return to Mueller Sports Center on Saturday to face York for Senior Day.
