The OKWU Men's Golf team participated in the KWU Fall Invitational at the Salina Country Club in Salina, Kansas on September 28th and 29th. The Eagles found themselve right in the mix of things of the 3-round, two day tournament.
Out of the gate, they finished the round with the second best team score shooting a 302 collectively and would follow that up shooting a 304 in the second round. OKWU really locked it in the third round as they finished with a 295 team score. Overall, the Eagles finished in 3rd out of the 11 teams that participated, posting a total score of 901 (+61) with Fernando Invernizzi and Nolan Pope finishing in the top 10 individually. OKWU 4 golfers finish in the Top 20 individuals of the tournament.
Fernando Invernizzi finished tied for 3rd individually with scores of 75,72 and 69, which was the fourth best overall round score, as he was (+6) overall. Nolan Pope finished shooting rounds of 75,74 and 76 that landed him (+15) and tied for 8th overall.
Andrew Gibson finished tied for 12th at (+18) with scores of 73,78 and 77. Evvan Wooldridge was right behind finishing tied for 15th at (+19) with rounds of 78,78 and 73. Liam Currid rounded out the Eagles top 20 finishers tied for 18th at (+21) shooting rounnds of 78, 74 and 79.
The Eagles are back in action starting on October 5th for the KCAC Fall Tournament taking place in Dodge City, Kansas.
