The OKWU Men's Golf Team was honored with the Champions of Character Award for their exceptional character in the 2023-2024 season.
 
As the NAIA states, "The Champions of Character program helps participants find the balance by keeping five core values – integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership - at the heart of the athletics experience."
 
OKWU's mission is to encourage and develop all students and athletes to live out their lives in a Christ-centered manner, which includes demonstrating exceptional character in athletic competition.
