A stingy Eagle defense limited the Calvary warriors to under 20 points in each half during Friday night's season opener, while the Eagles' offense find an early rhythm to shred the nets for 96 points. At the final buzzer, the Eagles routed Calvary by a 96-33 margin.

• The Eagles went into the half with a 43-16 lead. Their offense was even better in the second half, as they won that frame 53-17 to take care of business on opening night.
• Jaden Lietzke was the standout performer, as the big freshman had a career night, scoring 25 points on 10-13 shooting and adding in 5 rebounds, 4 of which came on the offensive side of the floor.
• The Eagles' defense suppressed the Warriors from gaining any early momentum and built up a lead in the first half that proved to be insurmountable.
• Sparkplug guard Austin Poling was all over the floor, piling up 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals to go along with his 7 points.

• OKWU forced Calvary into 32 turnovers on the night. The Eagles did a good job of taking care of the ball on offense, committing only 11 turnovers of their own.
• Calvary only shot 22.4% from the floor, thanks in part to a long and athletic Eagles' defense that never allowed the Warriors to feel comfortable or find easy looks.
• 14 different Eagles scored in the game.
• The Eagles shot 30% from 3-point territory and an impressive 75% from the charity stripe.
• Brandon Bird dished out 6 assists.
• Guard Taylen Miller swiped 4 steals as part of a physically imposing perimeter defense.
