The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles faced off against the Tabor College Blujays in an early week double header. The Eagles took both games and dominated at the plate 1-9.
Game 1
The Eagles came out on top Game 1 with a 10-0 win over the Bluejays in a 6-inning run rule. At the plate, the Eagles combined for a total of 16 hits; leading the Eagles offensively; Payton Langley, Tahlor Stefek, and Bailey Zornes combined with 9 of the 16 Eagle hits, each with 3. On the mound for the Eagles, Tahlor Stefek pitched all 6 innings of the victory over Tabor. Stefek ended the game only allowing 4 hits and striking out 10.
Game 2
Overall, game 2 was a back and forth fight to the finish in 7 innings of play. Outdoing their hitting parade from game1, the Eagles finished game 2 with a total of 18 combined hits. Opening up the game strong the Eagles took the lead form the Bluejays and took home the 14-7 win. Once again, Baylee Knorr was victorious at the plate; going 5-5 with 3 RBI's. On the flip side, Abbey Ely began the game on the mound for the Eagles; later being relieved by Anastasia Thornhill for the combined win.
The Lady Eagles are set to face off against the Avila University Eagles for a weekend doubleheader on Saturday, April 3rd starting at 1:00pm in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
