Box Score 2 On Saturday afternoon, April 10th, Oklahoma Wesleyan University Softball swept Southwestern College in a home conference doubleheader in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
The OKWU Eagles took game one of the day with a final score of 3-0. The winning pitcher for the Eagles, Tahlor Stefek, had herself a day in the circle and at the plate. Stefek threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts, moving her past the 100 K's milestone on the season, brining her total to 107 K's. On the offensive side of things Stefek went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. Also contributing to the Eagles win was Meg Kirk going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
The Eagles' offense carried them past the Southwestern Moundbuilders in game 2 of the double header with a final score of 10-2 in six innings. Ashley Stone went 3 for 3 at the plate with a BB, Payton Langley went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI and a HBP, and Addy Redd went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI. Abbey Ely would get the win for OKWU, allowing just two earned runs in the contest.
Oklahoma Wesleyan Softball will be traveling to Leavenworth, Kansas this Tuesday, April 13th, to take on University of Saint Mary in another important conference series. The Lady Eagles now sit at 21-13 on the season, 9-5 in conference play.
