Box Score 2 Oklahoma Wesleyan softball took both games from the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes in their home conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 24th, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The games ended in final scores of 7-0 and 8-2 in favor of the Eagles.
Game one is highlighted by a stellar pitching performance from Tahlor Stefek, allowing no runs on just four hits in her complete game shutout, including sixteen strikeouts. On the offensive side of things, eight different eagles combined for seven runs on ten hits. Leading the way for the Eagles, Sofia Cardenas who went two for four, including a double and two RBI, and Meg Kirk who went two for three, also with a double and two RBI.
Game two of the day followed trend of game one with another great pitching outing from Abbey Ely. Ely allowed no earned runs on just five hits and five strikeouts. OKWU's offense did not shy away in the second game as well; with the Eagles scoring eight runs on fourteen hits. Leading the way in game two, Ashley Stone and Sofia Cardenas both went three for four, as well as Payton Langley who went two for three in the contest.
The Eagles will host York College in another home conference doubleheader on Monday, April 26th, in Bartlesville. Oklahoma Wesleyan is currently 26-14 overall, with a conference record of 14-6.
