The OKWU bats made plenty of noise in Tuesday's road win at Southwestern Christian University. They jumped out to a big lead and held it to grab an 11-3 win and their 22^nd victory of the season in the non-conference matchup. The win marked a major milestone for head coach Kirk Kelley – his 800^th victory at the collegiate level (NAIA and JUCO combined).

• The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 1^st when Hector Manon drove in Seth Delgado on a sac fly.
• The Eagles added 3 more runs in the 2^nd to jump out to a 4-0 lead.
• Southwestern Christian put up 3 runs of their own in the 2^nd to cut the lead to 4-3.
• In the 4^th, the Eagles took advantage of some defensive miscues to add 4 runs.
• They added 2 more in the 5^th and 1 in the 6^th to earn the 11-3 win.
• On the mound, Brendan Woods earned the win. He pitched 7.2 innings and allowed 0 runs in a strong performance.

Coach's Corner:

• For Coach Kelley, this marked his 194^th win at OKWU and 800^th during his head coaching career.
• Prior to his stints at OKWU, Kelley was the head coach at Lyon College, where he spent several years and compiled 531 victories, and Eastern Oklahoma State College for a successful two-year period where he led them to 75 victories.
• Since his return to OKWU in 2019, the Eagles have a 130-48 record and last year earned a trip to the NAIA World Series.
