The OKWU softball team hit the road on Tuesday for the last doubleheader of the KCAC regular season. The Lady Eagles earned a split, winning the first game and falling in the second. For the season, OKWU is 33-14 and 18-6 in the KCAC.

Game 1 – 3-2 win:

• McPherson jumped ahead early when they scored 2 runs in the 1^st inning.
• In the top of the 4^th, Tahlor Stefek knocked her fifth homerun of the season, a solo shot that cut McPherson's lead in half, 2-1.
• In the top of the 5^th, Baylee Knorr hit a homerun that scored 2, giving OKWU a 3-2 lead.
• Maddy Wiese got the start and earned the win, settling in after the 1^st inning. She allowed just 3 hits and struck out 6 on the afternoon.

Game 2 – 4-1 loss:

• The Lady Eagles didn't fare as well in the second game of the doubleheader. McPherson jumped ahead early, putting up 3 runs in the 1^st inning.
• They would add another run in the bottom of the 3^rd to lead 4-0.
• Ryleigh Clinton batted in a run in the top of the 7^th, but OKWU could muster no more offense and fell 4-1.

Up Next:

• The Lady Eagles have one final series in the regular season. They head to Central Christian (Kan.) on Saturday for a doubleheader. The games are set for 3 and 5 p.m.
• The KCAC Tournament begins next week. OKWU currently sits at #2 in the KCAC standings.
