In Wednesday afternoon's conference matchup, the OKWU baseball team took care of Southwestern handily, winning 20-10 in 8 innings. The Eagles offense exploded for 18 total hits and 10 homeruns on the afternoon as the squad picked up their 10^th KCAC win of the season and improved to 25-13 overall.

Recap:

• OKWU would score the first 18 runs of the game. Things got started in the 1^st inning with a Hector Manon RBI single that scored Seth Delgado.
• The offense really exploded in the 2^nd. Julio Goncalves hit a 2-run homer to make it 3-0. Later in the inning, Cody Muncy hit a 2-run homer. Hector Manon hit a solo shot, and Nick Chavez brought in 3-runs when he homered. Goncalves returned to the plate and blasted a solo shot for his second homerun of the inning. When the dust settled at the end of the 2^nd, OKWU led 10-0.
• In the 3^rd, the homerun party continued. Jesus Rojas and Nick Chavez each hit 2-run bombs and Hector Manon added an RBI double to give OKWU a 15-0 lead.
• In the 4^th, Muncy and Rojas homered again to give the Eagles 3 more runs and an 18-0 lead.
• Southwestern would add 3 runs in the 4^th, but standout Cody Muncy hit his third homerun of the afternoon in the top of the 5^th, driving in 2 runs.
• Southwestern would cut into the deficit but never made the Eagles sweat. OKWU would cruise to a 20-10 victory.

Now the Numbers:

• Muncy's 3 homeruns give him 6 for the season. He had 5 RBI for the game.
• Nicholas Chavez also drove in 5 against the Builders.
• Evan Foor earned the win on the mound. He pitched 4 innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 5.
• As a team, the Eagles have hit 43 homeruns on the season.
