Box Score 3 Bartlesville, OK –
The OKWU Baseball team was on their home turf for the first time this season on February 23rd for their second KCAC series on the year against the Friends University Falcons. Coming off of a series win over the University of Saint Mary Spires the weekend before, the Eagles looked to come out hot against the Flacons in order to gain some ground in the KCAC polls. Doing just that, the Eagles went on to sweep the Falcons in 3 games and moving to 5-1 in conference.
Game 1 v. Friends (15-8 Win)
Scoring first, the Falcons were on top in the first half inning; this didn't last long as the Eagles jumped ahead 4-1 to end the first. The Falcons snapped back in the 2nd with a run, as well as in the 3rd, but the Eagles went on to score 3 more to make it a 7-3 game heading into the 5th inning. With an explosive inning in the 5th, the Falcons were able to cut their deficit with 4 runs, taking the game to 7-7 and a change in momentum. This didn't last long, as the Eagles responded with 8 runs to close out the game with a 15-8 win.
Blake Tablazon and Javier Marcial were superb in the box for the Eagles, both ending the day with 4 RBI. Tyler Benefiel earned his first win on the season against the Flacons, throwing 4 innings, and striking out 4.
Game 2 v. Friends (5-4 Win)
A back and forth battle until the 4th, the Eagles exploded with a 4 run 4th inning in order to jump on the board first. Coming back immediately with a run in the 5th, the Falcons answered back to make it a 4-1 game. Scoring a crucial insurance run in the 8th, the Eagles needed three outs. This was until the Falcons scored 3 in the 9th, making it a 5-4 game. Unable to tie it up, the Eagles secured their second win of the series.
Jorge Aldrete and Javier Marcial combined for all the Eagles RBI's in game two, both ending the day with 2 hits. Evan Foor earned the win on the bump game 2, throwing 7 innings and allowing 1 run.
Game 3 v. Friends (10-3 Win)
Starting out game 3 explosive, the Eagles scored 8 in the first innings and held on the momentum and lead to finish out the 10-3 game. Josue Dominguez lead the Eagles in the box throughout game 3, scoring twice, going 2-3, and accumulating 3 RBI's. Braelen Pippin earned a win on the bump on the mound, throwing 4 innings and striking out 5.

The Eagles are on the road this upcoming Tuesday for a nonconference match-up with the Oklahoma City University Starts.
