After being on the road in Oklahoma City, the Lady Eagles were excited to host a two-game series on Saturday, February 24th against Haskell Indian Nations University. Looking to regain confidence after the OCU series, the Lady Eagles were eager to get on their home field and earn some wins.
Game 1
Jess Watson got the scoring started for the Lady Eagles, doubling in the first inning to give them an early 1-0 lead. Entering the second inning, Alyssa Olivas singled to start of the inning, followed by a 2-run homerun by Maddy Wiese for her second of the year. The Lady Eagles ended the second inning with an RBI by Abby Huie, making it a 4-0 game. The scoring kept coming in the third and fifth inning, with RBIs by Kelly Baker, Jamie Keeling, and more from Maddy Wiese and Abby Huie.
Sage Smith was in the circle for the Lady Eagles for her 5th start. Smith was fantastic in her 5 innings, only giving up 3 hits with no runs scored, no walks, and 4 strikeouts for her complete game shutout, leading the Lady Eagles to a 8-1 win.
Game 2
Haskell started the second game off by getting on the board early, but the Lady Eagles responded by RBIs from Abby Huie and Maddy Wiese to regain the lead 2-1. Abby Huie continued her hot streak by getting the Lady Eagles 2 more RBIs in the second, followed by a 2-run double by Jess Watson to break the scoring open to 6-1. Ariana Potter and Jamie Keeling were both able to add 2 more runs in the third, making it 8-1 entering the fourth. The Lady Eagles broke open the scoring even more in the 4th, rallying 7 runs which led to a 15-1 win.
Maddy Wiese took the circle game 2 and threw a beauty. Wiese threw 5 innings with only 1 hit, 1 earned run, walking no one.

The Lady Eagles are looking forward to their trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama as they will play in the Gulf Shores Invitational. The Lady Eagles will be back in Bartlesville on Thursday, March 7th as they face off Peru State.
