Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
Coming off of a KCAC Tournament Championship, the OKWU Baseball team earned their spot in the NAIA National Tournament Regional; being placed in the Hattiesburg, Mississippi bracket, the Eagles will travel this weekend in order to compete as the #3 seed in the regional. The other teams in the bracket consist of the following; #1 seed Mid-America Christian, #2 seed William Carrey, and the #4 seed Milligan (TN).
MACU enters the regional as the 1 seed, earning their way into the regional with a Sooner Tournament Championship and a 40-11 season record this far. The #2 seeded William Carrey enters the regional with a SSAC Tournament Championship and a 34-14 record as they host the Hattiesburg regional. Lastly, the #4 seeded Mulligan (TN) enters the regional with a 33-20 record, earning their way into the regional with an at-large bid during the selection show.
The Eagles are set to face off against the #2 seed William Carrey on May 13
th at 1:30PM in order to advance to the next round of the regional; looking to win 3 games in order to clench a regional championship and advance to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.
