Bartlesville, OK — 
Oklahoma Wesleyan University softball head coach Shawn Woods has made program history, recording his 186th career win to become the winningest head coach in the history of the Lady Eagles softball program. 

Woods reached the milestone during the 2026 season, accomplishing the feat in just six seasons leading the program. Since taking over as head coach, Woods has played a key role in building Oklahoma Wesleyan softball into a competitive program, guiding the Lady Eagles with consistent leadership, dedication, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field. 

Under Woods' leadership, the program has continued to grow and develop, with his teams demonstrating resilience, strong team culture, and a drive to compete at a high level within the conference. His impact extends beyond wins and losses, helping shape the experience of countless student-athletes who have come through the Oklahoma Wesleyan softball program. 

Reaching 186 career victories marks a significant milestone for Woods and reflects the hard work of the players, coaches, and staff who have contributed to the program's success during his tenure.
