It was a big day for the Oklahoma Wesleyan University softball team as the KCAC released its All-Conference honors, with the Lady Eagles showing up all over the list.
Brooklyn Purcell led the way, earning KCAC Player of the Year after putting together one of the most productive seasons in the conference. She finished the year hitting .443 with 62 hits and 65 RBIs, while adding 13 home runs and an .850 slugging percentage across 49 games. Maria Fory followed with a standout freshman campaign, earning Newcomer of the Year honors after batting .459 with 68 hits, 49 RBIs, and 13 home runs. She added 23 doubles and 39 extra-base hits, finishing with a .919 slugging percentage and .506 on-base percentage over 49 games.
Both Purcell and Fory were named to the First Team, joined by Yina Ballesta and Reagan Rector to give OKWU four selections on the top team.
The recognition continued with six Lady Eagles earning Second Team honors, including Gabby Simpson, Abby Rogers, Maddie Ogle, Abby Huie, Bailey Gustus, and Kami Withem, showing the consistency of the lineup throughout the season. Gracie Jones added a Third Team selection, adding one more name to a long list of honors for Oklahoma Wesleyan.
