The KCAC, in partnership with Barnes & Noble College, recently announced that 30 men's tennis student-athletes were named 2021-22 KCAC Scholar-Athletes. This list includes 1 member of Oklahoma Wesleyan University's men's tennis team.
According to the KCAC release, the Scholar-Athlete Award recognizes excellence in the classroom by KCAC member student-athletes who fit these criteria:
- are sophomores or above in academic standing at the beginning of the semester in which they compete.
- carry a minimum 3.250 cumulative GPA at the beginning of the semester in which they compete.
- student-athletes must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the KCAC institution to be eligible.
Nathan Perkins, a senior from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, was the member of the Eagles who was named a Scholar-Athlete.
