Oklahoma City, OK—

The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Lady Eagles beach volleyball team wrapped up their season last week at the Central States Conference Tournament, held at Boombox Beach Club in Oklahoma City. The tournament began Thursday with pool play, where the Lady Eagles were matched up against Ottawa University and Texas Wesleyan University. Despite strong efforts, OKWU fell in both duals, placing them at the bottom of the bracket heading into elimination play. 

In the first round of bracket play, the Lady Eagles faced Wayland Baptist University. The team battled with grit and determination but came up short, ending their run in the tournament. 

On Friday, the competition shifted to the pairs tournament, where individual duos represented their schools in separate brackets. Several OKWU pairs picked up wins throughout the day, while others battled through tough matchups. The day showcased the team's growth, chemistry, and resilience, with plenty of promising moments for the program moving forward.  

Several Lady Eagles were recognized for their standout performances this season. Allison Howard and Maddy McKinney earned Second Team All-Conference honors, while Avery Forman and Jordan Isbell received Honorable Mention All-Conference. Avery and Jordan were also named to the All-Tournament Team for their exceptional play in Oklahoma City. 

This tournament concluded the season for the Lady Eagles, who earned individual honors and valuable experience against strong conference opponents.
