OKWU's Rocio Espinal has been recognized as the Women's Tennis Player of the Week following an impressive week competing at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles play.
Espinal delivered a dominant performance against Tabor College, competing in a combined three sets across singles and doubles. In singles action, she secured a decisive 6–0 victory, setting the tone early. She then teamed up in doubles to earn two more 6–0 wins, completing a flawless showing against the Bluejays with straight-set dominance across all three sets.
In addition to her success against Tabor, Espinal also picked up wins in both singles and doubles versus Ottawa, with both matches awarded by forfeit, further contributing to Oklahoma Wesleyan's strong week on the court.
Espinal's consistency, control, and leadership at the top positions continue to be a key factor for the Eagles, making her a deserving selection for Player of the Week honors.
