BARTLESVILLE, OK -
Athletic Director Kirk Kelley and OKWU Athletics announces the rehiring of Head Coach Mark Molder to lead the Women's Basketball program this upcoming 2026-2027 season.
Molder was apart of the OKWU Athletic Department from 2007 to 2019, taking a step away for a brief period of time and taking a Head Coach position at CIU in Columbia, SC.
Molder stated the following upon his return to Oklahoma Wesleyan University"
"I am looking forward to joining the OKWU family. OKWU is an amazing place and has always been home to my family and me from my time as a student athlete and while being a part of the athletic department as a coach. I am very excited to get to work!
I am eager to get to work with our program. I look forward to building on the previous success of the program. We will be driven to be great on and off the court. The process of success starts with keeping Christ first in all we do and growing our student athletes in that manner. The best is yet to come for OKWU Women's Basketball.
I am eager to be back at OKWU and give our students, administration, faculty, staff, alumni and loyal fan base something to rally behind. OKWU loves to support their programs. I have many amazing memories of crowds at OKWU athletic events and how supportive and loud they can be. Nothing is better than hearing a faculty member or another loyal OKWU fan cheering their hearts out and on occasion letting a referee know their displeasure with a call. It's going to be a blast!"
Athletic Director Kirk Kelley stated the following on the return of Coach Molder;
"The whole OKWU community is excited that Mark is going to be an Eagle again. I can't wait for him to start back with the Women's Basketball program!"
Welcome back Coach Molder!
