Natalia Quiroz Earns Second at the 2024 Crimson Storm Indoor Invitational

Opening season strong, Natalia Quiroz was dominant in the 600-meter race, as well as the mile race during the 2024 Crimson Storm Indoor Invitational. With a mile time of 5:31.02, Quiroz earned second place in the race and moved into 17th in the conference, as well as 9th in the 600-meter race.

 

Allyson Watson-Bell also had an impressive season open with a 60-meter 8.34 race. With that, Watson-Bell moved into 23rd place out of 48 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Watson-Bell also participated in the 200 meter dash, running a 27.43 she earned 17th in conference and recorded a personal best.

OKWU Soccer standout, Elsie Loftnertz compete in her first meet as an OKWU Track athletic, participating in the 200-meter dash and the 60 meter dash. Lofnertz recorded a 29.39 200-meter dash and an 8.75 60 meter-dash. Lofnertz is currently sitting in 36th place out of 60 in the conference and looks to build as season progresses.

 

Elizabeth Benitez also had a great season opener running 29.43 in the 200. Benitez is currently ranked 10th in the conference in the 600.

 

Coredila Bloomer ran a great season opener and a personal best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.99.

 

Aletha Baker, Cheyenne Staub, Peyton Kaminski, and Katherine Harris all ran a phenomenal race and a personal best at this weekend's meet. 

 

OKWU Track & Field are back in action February 1st, 2024 at Washburn University.
