A strong first half gave the Lady Eagles an early lead, and Briar Cliff was unable to overcome the deficit in the second. OKWU won 3-1 and advances in the NAIA tournament.

Recap:

• Tania Mocholi scored in the 12^th minute to give OKWU an early lead.
• A few minutes later, Marjolen Nekesa dished a pass to Laura Maria who scored the goal and gave the Lady Eagles a 2-0 lead that they would hold onto for the remainder of the half.
• Shortly after the break, Briar Cliff responded when Makayla Thorvund scored on a breakaway to cut OKWU's lead in half.
• That was the end of Briar Cliff's offensive production, however, as OKWU tightened things up on the defensive side.
• Daniela Ortiz added a goal late in the game to push the Eagle advantage to 3-1.

Now the Numbers:

• A near even split on total shots, as OKWU edged Briar Cliff 9 to 8 in this category.
• Maria's goal was  her 31^st on the season.
