Box Score The OKWU Lady Eagles were unable to continue the road magic in the KCAC Women's Basketball Semifinal matchup on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Avila Eagles. A close game throughout, the OKWU Lady Eagles were unable to overcome Avila and fell 65-51.
Recap:
- Both teams came out strong in the first quarter, as the game was tied 16-16 after ten minutes. OKWU saw 6 different players contribute to the scoring early and shot nearly 54% in the period. They forced 5 Avila turnovers and were able to capitalize early.
- OKWU would go into halftime trailing by 3. The Lady Eagles committed 7 turnovers in the second quarter, which disrupted their rhythm and allowed Avila to take the lead.
